It really is! I'm super excited that you've stumbled on this page. My name is Luz which means light in spanish which is super fitting for my choice of career. I'm a Chicago based lifestyle and wedding photographer with a a passion for creating art for wonderful people. That's you. You're the wonderful people I'm talking about.

Through my work, I will capture real and raw moments using a documentary/candid style of photography. My goal is to create images for you that have depth and emotion.

Whether it's your wedding day, or just a simple family photo session, it will be filled with wonderful moments and I want to be there to capture the love and everything in between. Moments you had no idea that where going to be your favorite memories.
More about me
I love taking pictures, hence why I left my job as a pre-k teacher at a day care to take pictures for a living. It was a bold move but one that I don't regret. I like to have a good time and don't take myself too seriously. My goal is to show that through my images. Through photography I have met so many people with a their own story to tell and their own special moments that need to be captured. I feel that each client has a unique story to tell and that should be reflected in their pictures.
As a native Chicagoan, I try to capture within my images what it is about the city that makes it special: its architecture, it’s people, it’s soul.
I'm a lot of things, a wife, a mother, traveler, music lover, dancing queen, a sister and a daughter. But above all else I'm an artist, telling your story one snap at a time.
Things you might see me do at your wedding.
Cry. By the time your wedding day rolls around, we’ve probably spent enough time together that I feel genuinely invested. So yes, I might tear up watching you get married in front of the people who love you most. It happens. I’m not mad about it.

Help. If you need a safety pin, a bandaid, a moment to breathe, or someone to track down a missing person or misplaced item, I got you! I’m there to help however you need, big or small, planned or last minute.

Dance. I can’t help myself. While I’m capturing the dance floor fun, I’ll absolutely be moving right along with you. Especially if there’s house music or disco involved.
