It really is. I'm super excited that you've stumbled on this page. My name is Luz which means light in spanish which is super fitting for my choice of career. I'm a Chicago based lifestyle and wedding photographer with a a passion for creating art for wonderful people. That's you. You're the wonderful people I'm talking about.

Through my work, I will capture real and raw moments using a photojournalism-ish style of photography. My goal is to create images for you that have depth and emotion.

Whether it's your wedding day, or just a simple family photo session, it will be filled with wonderful moments and I want to be there to capture the love and everything in between. Moments you had no idea that where going to be your favorite memories.
More about me
I love taking pictures, hence why I left my job as a pre-k teacher at a day care to take pictures for a living. It was a bold move but one that I don't regret. I like to have a good time and don't take myself too seriously. My goal is to show that through my images. Through photography I have met so many people with a their own story to tell and their own special moments that need to be captured. I feel that each client has a unique story to tell and that should be reflected in their pictures.
As a native Chicagoan, I try to capture within my images what it is about the city that makes it special: its architecture, it’s people, it’s soul.
I'm a lot of things, a wife, a mother, traveler, music lover, dancing queen, a sister and a daughter. But above all else I'm an artist, telling your story one snap at a time.
Things you might see me do at your wedding.
Cry. By the time of your wedding, we’ve probably become really good friends so seeing you get married in front of the ones that love you the most will have me in my feels.
Help. If you need a safety pin, bandaid, a shoulder to cry on, I got you! Need help setting something up or getting someone, I’m your gal. I’m there for you in whatever manner you need.
Dance. I can’t help it. While I’m taking those fun dance floor pics, you’ll see me shake my booty to the music, especially if it’s house or some disco.
