I’m Luz, a Chicago wedding photographer creating space for couples who want to feel comfortable, supported, and fully present on their day. Wedding days can be a little chaotic in the best way, so my job is to keep things feeling easy. I’ll guide you when you need direction, laugh with you when things get fun, and make sure nothing ever feels awkward or forced.
I photograph weddings in a mostly candid, documentary style, focusing on genuine moments, real connection, and all the little in between parts that make the day what it is. I’ll also help guide you through classic portraits, because those matter too.
The goal is simple, to provide photos that feel honest, and a wedding day that reflects who you are.

My love of photography started young, with disposables and point and shoots. I was always drawn to the moments that weren’t planned or posed. There is something about capturing emotion in one frame that never gets old. Life moved fast, and becoming a photographer felt like a pipe dream until my husband believed in me and gifted me my first real camera. Since then, I’ve been photographing weddings for years, and I’ve learned how to stay approachable, reassuring, and natural throughout the whole day. I also keep things fun, because weddings are meant to be enjoyed, not stressed over. And yes, I will absolutely help you find the best light!

My approach is laid back, but I’m always ready for whatever the day throws our way. You have no idea how important your wedding day is to me. My focus is completely on you, so you can soak it all in and celebrate with the people who love you the most.
